Lucca Leadership runs courses in transformational leadership which enable young people of all nationalities and backgrounds to discover their purpose, clarify their vision and develop the skills needed to make change happen for the benefit of their communities, nations and ultimately humanity itself.
Lucca Leadership Ireland is a registered charity (CHY 16171) set up in 2004 by a group of young people and alumni who attended the leadership program in Italy. We are part of a global organisation with affiliates in the UK, Australia, North AmericaSouth Africa. and
Lucca Leadership Ireland is an independent organisation and is neither controlled by nor advocates any particular religious or political agenda. Rather than teaching young people what to think and what to lead, we aim to teach young people how to think effectively for themselves and how to lead projects that inspire them, in service of their community.

*WHO SHOULD APPLY*
Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to develop your leadership skills? Do you want to meet a group of other inspiring leaders in a beautiful location in
We're looking for people (+16-30 years old) who are making positive change in the world or who are ready to take that step forward. Whether you're volunteering for a small grassroots community project, running a large organisation, creating art that inspires and uplifts or just lightening the lives of those around you, we're looking for people who believe in service and filling the needs around them, people who want to change the world in whatever way they can.
*ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP FOUNDATIONS PROGRAMME*
Lucca Leadership Ireland’s mission is to run transformational leadership programmes for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to discover their purpose, clarify their vision and develop the skills needed to make change happen for the benefit of their communities, nations and ultimately humanity itself. Our vision is to be a catalyst for positive change by developing leaders who want to make a difference.
*WHAT THE PROGRAMME OFFERS*
The week-long fun and intensive programme offers participants practical experience and insight into:
• Increasing awareness of themselves and others, as a basis to effective leadership.
• Ethical decision making.
• Managing their emotions and thoughts; and mastering self-control in challenging situations.
• Formulating their own personal vision for leadership in their own lives.
• Applying the right leadership style and tactics to the needs of the moment.
• Creating dialogue in situations of conflict.
• Case studies of transformational leadership, with contemporary and historical examples.
• The tools needed to implement projects or change of behaviours in their own communities.
The programme offers these skills through highly innovative experiential tasks that are specifically designed for leadership training and development. The learning from these leadership experiences can then be implemented into the participant’s own lives, social projects, organizations and companies, thereby equipping them with the skills and confidence to see and meet the needs around them.
We also take a trip to Derry with Brendan Duddy "The Secret Peacemaker" a relatively unkown figure in the island's peace process until the BBC made a documentary about him a few year ago. A notable Catholic Republican, who was a pacifist and firm believer in dialogue, Duddy became known by MI6 as "The Contact." In his book "Great Hatred; Little Room - Making Peace in Northern Ireland," Tony Blair's political advisor Jonathan Powell described Duddy as the "key" which led to discussions between republicans and MI5, and ultimately the Northern Ireland peace process. Brendan's passion, humility, resilience and commitment act as a fantastic example of transformational leadership
*THE IMPACT OF THE PROGRAMME*
The impact of Lucca Leadership Ireland so far has been enormous, it has led to positive change through its participants, through its core volunteers, through its coaches and more than anything, through the projects that are being successfully led through our alumni.

Lucca Leadership in Ireland has been established to help inspire, train and support any person that wants to make a positive difference in the world. We are constantly reminded of the massive social, economic, political and humanitarian challenges we are faced with as a society, the big question is “What can we do?” I believe that we can do a lot to change things for the better. By supporting a generation of young people to be leaders who serve the common good we are engaging an invaluable resource for transformation. Young people have the energy, enthusiasm, idealism and passion to change the world, we are simply here to support them in that journey. A better world is possible.
