Lucca Leadership Ireland News

The Changeover of CEOs

CEO Robert Mulhall has left and moved into a new leadership role in India for Concern Worldwide's 'Innovation for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health' project. (www.innovationsformnch.org). While Lucca Leadership Ireland was happy to announce that Sam Lyons is the new CEO. Robert - “It has been an absolute pleasure to serve Lucca Leadership since its beginnings in 2002. I have held many roles and each one of them has been challenging, rewarding and an experience I am deeply grateful for. To all those who have supported me and the organisation over the years I am very thankful and I can only wish my best to the alumni, mentors, volunteers and employees around the world. There is an obvious need for great leadership in our world, a need I believe that is only growing as the challenges we are facing seem to grow; Lucca Leadership has a real role to play in this and it has my continued support as a volunteer (even if that support will be from India for the next 2 years). Thank you for everything.” Sam - “Hello Lucca family. The power of visualisation. A number of years ago, while doing operations with Lucca Leadership, pondering the idea that one day I might be one of the leaders of Lucca Leadership. Inspired by Robert Mulhall, this young guy that lives his passions through actions. His sense of fairness, justice and an unbelievable drive was the best infectious quality to be around. Realising then, we all lead by example, whether we like it or not. Lucca Leadership has helped clarify my vision, "helping young people find their inner potential through education and development". This is something I regularly check-in with. Becoming the new CEO of Lucca Leadership Ireland feels so right inside. For someone that constantly advises others to 'do something you love', finally I have the opportunity to both lead be example and do something I love. I'm so excited to be heading up the team and look forward to working with all of you throughout the near future. Send me your thoughts, ideas and suggestions and let’s make 2011 the best year yet.”
