Our History

Lucca Leadership was founded in January, 2002 in response to the growing need in the world for more effective leadership. The aim was to develop a new generation of young leaders, who could bring about lasting transformational change. 

By early 2003 Lucca Leadership Trust was registered as a UK charity, and the first leadership program took place in June 2003. Since then, we have trained over 6000 young people from 60 different countries and from all walks of life in transformational leadership skills. Several participants from Australia, Ireland, South Africa, the Netherlands, Macedonia and North America were inspired by the program to start up independent but affiliated Lucca Leadership charities in their own countries.

Lucca Leadership is primarily a voluntary organisation with no particular religious or political affiliation. We have two full time employees and nearly 100 people around the world are now active volunteers for Lucca Leadership, many of whom joined the team as a result of their experience on our programs.
