The Student International Business Council (SIBC) has grown from a small activity within the university of Notre Dame business college in 1989 to one of the largest student organizations on the campus, including over 275 members for the 2001-2002 school year. While the mission has remained consistent, the project base has grown to include approximately 30 academic projects each semester, as well as sponsoring between 30 to 40 international interns and teachers annually

The British Youth Council is the national youth council in the UK. They represent and involve a unique coalition of young people through their involvement as individuals or through their youth organisations.

BYC brings together young people to agree on issues of common concern and encourages them to bring about change through taking collective action.

Their vision is for BYC to be built on a broad, active and engaged membership. BYC is broad in both the numbers and diversity of young people, active in every aspect of our work and engaged in our democracy.

BYC aim to do 4 things:

• Provide a voice for young people
• Promote equality for young people
• Help young people be more involved in decisions that affect their lives
• Advance young people's participation in society and civic life

All of the projects in knockadoon are based on christian values, an  ethos of non-discrimination and support of the individual.

Knockadoon provide facilities and services to allow young people to learn, to develop and to experience sharing, respect and community.

Knockadoon is a residential facility where groups use the camp on a one week cycle, where the young people spend 7 days living, playing and sharing together.

Knockadoon is a non profit organisation, and is heavily subsided by the Dominican order. This enables low cost holidays to be provided, which facilitate the provision of these holidays to young people who need them most.  

All our youth workers are volunteers, who give up their time to support the camp.
