Programmes - Living Leadership

Living Leadership is a 6 day programme on living and working as a leader open to those who have already completed the Leadership Foundations programme. It builds on learning from the Leadership Foundations programme as well as covering exciting new areas. Like our other courses, it uses a mixture of tuition, practical exercises, dialogue and reflection.

Next courses:

2009 COURSE: 4 - 10 April, Lucca, Italy
2009 COURSE: May, South Africa
2009 COURSE: 3 - 10 October, Sydney, Australia

What will I learn?

Pathways to Insight – practical ways to develop your potential and draw more fully on inner resources.

Focus on Dialogue – further forms of dialogue, looking at how to use dialogue for structured problem solving and enhancing creativity.

Case Studies – looking at well-known figures who have brought about transformation and been powerful examples in our time.

Team Building – how to build and develop a successful team.

Coaching – a full day looking at coaching and how to allow people to develop their full potential.

New Work – we will also share with participants the latest work within Lucca Leadership on transformational leadership.

Who will teach it?

Tuition will be both from the Lucca team and external subject experts, including the celebrated Renaissance tutor Valery Rees.

Participation Criteria

Participants must have completed the Lucca Leadership 'Leadership Foundations' programme to attend.

How much will it cost?

The price of the course is €650. Lucca Leadership has taken care to minimise the Programme price, which is offered at less than cost, with participants invited to contribute to the full cost if they are able. The €650 cost for the course covers all accommodation, food, excursions and transport in Italy. There are a very small number of course and travel bursaries available for those who cannot afford some or all of this cost. Please indicate on the application form in the apporiate boxes if this is the case.

Where is the Programme held?

The Living Leadership programme will be held at the Villa Boccella, just outside the town of Lucca in Northern Italy. The villa is conveniently located in the heart of Tuscany, birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, not far from the historic towns of Siena and Florence. Lucca itself is a medieval walled city with a particularly fine cathedral.

How to get there

Lucca Leadership will collect all participants for the course from either Pisa Airport (North West Tuscany) or from Lucca Train Station which takes 45 or 20 minutes by car to the Villa respectively.

To get to Pisa Airport you can get direct flights from a number of Italian and European Airports. It is not a large international airport however and if attending from outside Europe you will probably have to arrange a transfer from a larger Italian or European Airport.

If any participants choose to arrive in Italy prior to the course in order to explore the surrounding area (well worth incorporating into your schedule!) they might find it easier and cheaper to take the train to Lucca Station (there are direct routes to the station from Florence and Pisa as well as coastal towns like Viareggio and Forte di Marme).

We collect the times of arrival and departure of all participants when they confirm their booking as well as verbally clarifying their travel arrangements in order to ensure all students are met when they arrive at the airport or station.

Contact Us if you have any questions about booking your travel.
